Business Development Executive

We seek a dynamic and customer-centric Business Development Executive to join the multifi team. The Business Development Executive will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our customer base and establishing strong relationships with potential customers and industry partnerships. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop their fintech sales and business development career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Outreach

  • Conduct outreach activities such as warm calls, emails, and social media engagement to connect with potential clients.
  • Engage with customers as they register their interest on the multifi platform.

 

Lead Generation:

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities through various channels, including online research, networking events, and referrals.

 

Relationship Building:

  • Build strong relationships with prospective and existing customers to understand their business needs and promote our working capital solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners such as introducers and brokers.

 

Product Knowledge:

  • Stay updated on our products, features, and updates to educate customers and effectively address their questions and concerns.

 

Customer Feedback and Improvement:

  • Gather and analyse customer feedback to provide continuous improvement insights to the product and development teams.
  • Work on implementing feedback-driven improvements to enhance the customer experience.

 

Renewals and Upsells:

  • Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products or services to existing customers.
  • Assist with customer contract renewals and ensure a high retention rate.

 

Supporting the Sales Process:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to assist in acquiring new customers, including participating in sales presentations and providing potential clients with customer success insights.
  • Provide input to the commercial team by sharing customer feedback and success stories to help refine sales strategies and product positioning.
  • Assist with developing sales collateral and case studies showcasing successful customer outcomes, helping build trust and credibility with prospective clients.
  • Act as a bridge between the customer and the customer success team, ensuring a smooth handover and transition from the sales phase to the customer onboarding and success phase.

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years experience in a business development or account management role within financial services.
  • Previous experience within a start-up environment (preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other customer success tools.
